I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida since 1998 (licensed in NJ since 1995). My experience includes working with adults, adolescents, and children with mental health issues; assessment and evaluation; individual, family and group therapy. I am trained in Prolonged Exposure (PE) or the treatment of Veterans/clients with PTSD related to trauma, Certified Consultant (2010); Behavioral Family Therapy for serious psychiatric disorders; Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) for substance Abuse disorders; Motivational Interviewing (MI), Certified Consultant (2014). In addition, I use several other modality techniques which include: Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person- Centered Therapy, Psycho-educational Modality, Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I am a Certified provider for Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR Narrative Therapy), emotional regulation treatment for victims of trauma and other emotional disorders; Certified in CANS (Child Adolescent Needs Strengths assessments); I am bilingual, and have a knowledge base equipped to address multicultural issues.

I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in 1982, with a minor in Psychology, from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. In 1992 I received a Masters of Social Work degree, with an emphasis on clinical practice, from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. I am fluent in Spanish. I have been a field instructor for over twenty years; I am a Qualified Clinical Supervisor with the Florida Department of Health; and provide clinical supervision to post-Master's Social Work interns.
In addition, I have worked as an adjunct professor at Hudson County Community College teaching Sociology (in a Bilingual Program), and at Barry University, School of Social Work, teaching
Assessment In Social Work Practice, in a Master’s level program. I have training protocols for clinicians seeking training in specific areas (Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Suicide Prevention, Risk Assessment, and many more.
